Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island

We love Phang Nga Bay. The scenery is magnificent and it is a must do for all visitors. I remember watching ‘The Man with a Golden Gun’ as a child and gasping at the stunning scenery. I assumed then that I would never see such a glorious place in real life.

Easy Day Thailand offers two tours to Phang Nga Bay. You can take the slower but more charming option of a longtail boat (as long as you don’t mind the noisy engine). If you want something faster and more comfortable but perhaps without the same quaint charm then you can go for the speedboat option. These tours obviously include a visit to the iconic James Bond Island and lunch at the famous Koh Panyee sea gypsy village. Perhaps even more special is the chance to kayak around the wonderful limestone karsts and caves of Phang Nga Bay.

That would be enough for most tours but these tours also include a 15-minute elephant trek, a visit to a rubber plantation, monkeys trained to collect coconuts and a chance to see some Thai rural life at a rice paddy. As if all that wasn’t enough, the faster speedboat tour also has time for a beach stop at lovely Lawa Island.

Khao Sok Overnight Adventure Tour

Phang Nga is blessed with some glorious beaches and nearby islands. We are also fortunate to have Khao Sok National Park only a short drive away in Surat Thani province. Khao Sok is one of southern Thailand’s finest national parks with rivers, lakes, jungle and a wide range of flora and fauna.

Easy Day Thailand can arrange a day trip but again we do recommend the overnight tour for this location. This gives you time to truly appreciate the natural splendour of the park. This tour includes elephant trekking, canoeing on Sok River, guided trekking, bamboo rafting and sightseeing.

Snorkel Tours to Similan & Surin Islands (Nov to Apr)

The Similan Islands and the Surin Islands are natural wonders and world famous scuba diving sites. They also have the finest snorkelling in Thailand. The waters are crystal clear and there are pristine shallow reefs close to shore. There are also some picture perfect beaches to relax on between swims.

Easy Day Thailand can arrange day trips to either set of islands.You can choose from a day trip snorkeling tour or an overnight trip staying in Similan Island National Park bungalows.

All tours can be started from Khao Lak or Phuket. They include return hotel transfers, food and soft drinks, snorkeling equipment and national park fees. Charter Your Own Boat

Ok, this really is pushing the boat out but if there is a group of you and you want a truly special experience, why not charter your own boat for a day or more and go absolutely wherever you want. The MV Saimai is a gorgeous boat and a glorious way to explore the many islands in the beautiful local waters of Phang Nga, The Similans or Krabi.

She comes crewed with a Thai captain, engineer and cook. You can charter her for just a day but she has three spacious sleeping cabins so why not save yourselves some hotel costs and book her for a few days of cruising. Just imagine waking up amongst the magnificent limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay or the great granite boulders of the Similan Islands.
